Many businesses don’t realise how simple can be to get more clients and make more money.


No, it’s not a spell or a sacrifice to the god of businesses.


It’s the ability to target ads to an audience and get their attention.


Advertising is the most effective method for generating leads and selling products. It is crucial to learn how to excel in this skill without getting caught in the misconception that "my advertising appeals to everyone."


Step 1: Target your audience.


This will give 10X better results.


Understanding who is your ideal customer and understanding their needs.


It will help us to show the ads to actual potential customers.


We don’t want to spend thousands of dollars on people that are actually not interested in what we are selling.


Most people are just scrolling and not really paying attention to basically anything.


Step 2: Copy


That’s right, a good ad must have a good copy that captures attention (hook).

Saying “Look at what I’m selling” won’t make us any sales.


People are just not interested because 99.9% of people can’t be bothered to spend money on things they don’t need.

But using a powerful copy can create that NEED even if maybe… there’s not.


Step 3: Creative


The creative is basically what we will show to our potential customers.

The main purpose is to capture the clients interest and direct them to give us their information.


These days it’s much better to be a video as whoever consume contents it’s used to watching short videos.


Instagram and TikTok have influenced and changed the time that the average person can pay attention to something.


So, our video has to be quick, straight to the point and with cuts pretty much every 3 seconds max.


Testing


So when creating an ad we need to follow some simple rules:

  • Who are we talking to?

  • Where are they now? (Why might they decide to consume our content and buy our stuff?)

  • What do we want them to do? (Give us tier information / buy our stuff.)

  • What do they need to see/feel/experience in order to take the action I want them to, based on where they are starting?


Using this list will put us in the best position to understand our customer and how to direct them toward a sale.


Is it a bulletproof method?


No, it’s not, that’s why testing is another pivotal part of advertising.


That’s when most of the businesses fail. Because they give up when their first ad set doesn’t perform well.


Conclusion


Ads are the core of the business and it’s important to make them perform well.


It takes time and a lot of work, but it’s 100% worth it.
